The death penalty is a government sanctioned execution. There are 31 states in the USA that have the death penalty. On January 1st Of 2016, There was a count of how many people were on the death row, and in fact California came out on top with 743 people. Incredibly Texas came in third place for how many people are on death row. In executions since 1976 the method used was lethal injection for 1,258 people. So many people are being put to death over crimes that are major enough for life in prison.
The death penalty also has no impact on the crime rates, although, I can prove that the crime rates have gone up, since the death penatly was placed. Since 1976 when the death penalties were at 0, the death penalties have peaked with 98 people in 1999. In the play Romeo And Juliet, the Prince placed a death Penatly to anyone found fighting within the city walls. Even after he placed the death both the families did not stop the fighting. If Tibult had listened to the Prince and not started calling out Mercucio neither would have died. I blame Tibult's hot head, because of him both him and Mercucio ended up dead. The Prince later placed the death penalty on Romeo for killing Tibult, although that didn't stop the fighting, I know because Juliet's mom was going to send a hit man to kill Romeo. The death penatly had no impact on either of the families.
In Conclusion, I believe that the death penalty does not have any efficiency with crime. Through my research I also found that the death penatly is racially based, a California study found that those who killed whites were over 3 times more likely to be sentenced to death then those who's victims were black. I also found that in Louisiana the chances of recieving the death penalty were 97% higher if the victim was white rather than if the victim was black.

Donald Trump. Did it make you irritated just hearing his name in your head? The man who demanded to see Obama's birth certificate. The same man that said he'd have sex with his daughter if he wasn't her father. He calls himself an American man, but an American man would treat all men and women as equals. I feel that if the celebrities who vowed to leave the United States if Donald Trump became president should not leave the United States and stand up for the people who's voices aren't being heard.
All those celebrities had to start somewhere, right?? Some started on the streets and some might have started in little leagues, but Donald Trump didn't start in the streets. He doesn't know about the majority of the United States. Remember that time when he said his father gave him a small loan of a million dollars?? Mean while the parents of these celebrities could have been struggling with the rent and to put food on the table. They know what it's like not to have their voices heard. But those aren't the only celebrities that said they would leave the country if Donald Trump became president, Miley Cyrus for example, George Lopez, and Raven-Symoné.
I know some people, including the people who said it, will say something like "I don't want to live in a country that's controlled by a racist son of a bit*h that thinks he's superior to everyone else." I'm not gonna lie, I agree with that, but he does NOT define all of the citizens who can be respectful to everyone and anyone. I suggest that instead of the celebrities leaving if Donald Trump becomes president they should just stay because nothing is going to happen just because they leave.

Since the 1950's Lincoln High has been portrayed as a "bad" school. Why is it said to be a bad school? I believe it has to do with the fact the the majority of the students are minority's, were not white. The media (students and news) only puts our fails to show. But when the studdents do well it's not put on the news. When La Jolla High has bomb threats, it's not put on the news. Why? Because the the school is full of white people. It's the reporter's children that go there, they don't want the ignorant people who are watching TV from home to think of La Jolla as a bad school. Lincoln is not a bad school that it is perceived to be, it's the media that makes it seem that way.
To fix this stereo type of Lincoln being a bad school, I think we should let the media in. There are great students at Lincoln High that the media doesn't recognize because they're too busy recognizing the students that are disrespectful, immature, and academic failures. If we were to let the media in and interview what the students think about Lincoln, to let them see the great students that Lincoln can produce, I think we can get better recognition and a better reputation as a school. Another way to change the way people outside of our community see the school is to use the Lincoln hashtags the media was using to post positive things about the school and the students. The media has recently only been posting about the fight on 2/29/16 using the hashtags #thisislincoln, #wearelicoln, and #lincolnhigh. When in reality this is not Lincoln, this is what they see from the outside and the don't know what the cause or story was for it.
All in all, Lincoln is put down because the school it is full of minority's. I don't think it's just because of the minority's, because the school has always been put down because it is in the ghetto. If the students and teachers work together to bring up the reputation of the school I think the school will be persevere as a great school for students no matter what community it's in.
